Cat Comforts Sick Lamb
Toffee the lamb wasnβt well for few days
She wasnt eating much, her ears was down,
Looked depressed
And she was sitting on her own all day.
Did call the vet and they said if she still the same the next day i should bring her in.
they thought she might of eaten something.
But by the fourth day she looked fine and started to eat again.
Relief!
Toffee is all good now βΊοΈ
First time for her to sit by the fireplace too
The cat kept her company for some time.

A clicker is simply a small mechanical noisemaker. Clicker training is the same as positive reinforcement training. It links classic conditioning with some animal ethology science that says that behaviors that are rewarded are more likely to be repeated.
Instead of focusing on what your cat is doing wrong (which we know will continue to happen), focus your cat's attention on what she or he is doing right.

You can teach your cat to Sit and Stay in no more than a week, even if you've never done clicker training before.
Sit and Stay is a very simple trick combination of Sit + Stay. To achieve that, we are going to use operant conditioning. Rewarding our cat for doing nothing, and extending the "do nothing" period little by little until they understand that STAY means don't move until I release you.

I'm going to help you teach your cat the word "no" so that you can stop them from doing behaviors you want to avoid. To do so, we are going to use 3 little games:
3:33 Charging the word "NO" - Priming our cat with the knowledge that "NO" doesn't get rewarded
4:57 "NO" means "STOP" - Teach your cat that "NO" means "STOP" and if they do, they get rewarded
5:44 "NO" in context - Stop your cat from doing things you don't want them to do

Thurston's Week Was a Mixed Bag (Health Update)
Hi everybody! Fair warning, this video is probably a little sad or heavy for some, so I will write out the gist if this stuff affects you more than you're able to watch at the moment. Basically, he has had good days and bad days, but the end of the week has been tough. He's been very tired and just not himself, so we've been testing his blood glucose levels in conjunction with the vet (you can see dark spots on his ears where we had to test him), and his blood sugar has been within the acceptable range BEFORE we gave him insulin. So for two days on vet's advice (with continuous testing) we haven't given him insulin. While that sounds great on paper, it is confusing because he has been very lethargic, and we still feel like something is going on. It's also confusing because we expected to have him taking insulin for life, or at least much longer-term. We know for sure he is dealing with constipation and likely stomach ulcers, but the vet would also like to check his kidney levels and other bloodwork Monday. So I guess for now we wait and see! We just want him feeling good with his energy back, because we love our shrimpy boi!
